In the following example, all C notes have the same pitch:

Evolution of the treble clef symbol
In the book A history of music by Charles Villiers Stanford and Cecil Forsyth, a representation of evolution of the G-clef is exposed (source):

lef is a tool musicians use to notate pitches above middle C on the piano. The treble clef is also known as G clef because it describes the location of G, specifically the G above middle C, or G4. We learn treble clef so we know how to read sheet music faster and easier.
Look at the round “belly” of the treble clef, and you can see how it curves around the second line up from the bottom of the staff. That second line is called Treble G, and it's the first G above middle C. Once you're familiar with Treble G, you can find any note by counting up or down.
Reading treble clef notes requires knowing the pitch that each line and space represents. The lines on the treble clef staff represent the notes E, G, B, D, F from bottom to top. The spaces, also from bottom to top, represent the notes F, A, C, E.
This one you may remember from grammar school. The acronym many students use for the lines of the treble clef is EGBDF- Every Good Boy Does Fine. The bottom line is E, then G, B, D, & F. This acronym, along with FACE gives you all the names of every note on each line and space note.
clef, in musical notation, symbol placed at the beginning of the staff, determining the pitch of a particular line and thus setting a reference for, or giving a “key” to, all notes of the staff.
What is the treble clef? The treble clef is a tool musicians use to notate pitches above middle C on the piano. Placing these clefs on a line fixes a reference note to that line—an F-clef fixes the F below middle C, a C-clef fixes middle C, and a G-clef fixes the G above middle C.
The treble clef is also called the 'G clef' because the line that runs through the center of the treble clef is the G note. That should give you a quick reference when you're sight-reading. The next space up from G is the next note: A. After that space, you hit another line, which is B.
The treble clef is one of the most commonly used clefs today. Example 1 shows the letter names used for the lines of a staff when a treble clef is employed. One mnemonic device that may help you remember this order of letter names is “Every Good Bird Does Fly” (E, G, B, D, F).
First, we will discuss the Treble Clef (also called the G Clef). The staff line which the clef wraps around (shown in red) is known as G. Any note placed on this line becomes G.
For example, “Every Good Boy Does Fine” is a common mnemonic for remembering the notes of the treble clef staff. The first letter of each word in the sentence corresponds to a note on the staff: E, G, B, D, and F.
Use mnemonic devices such as visualizing the music, creating a story around it, or using acronyms to remember tricky areas. Working with an instructor is another great way to achieve that deep understanding of a piece and memorize it more effectively.
Middle C is called middle C because it is in the middle of the grand staff, the combination of treble and bass clef that piano music is most commonly notated on!
[English] Also known as the bass clef, the F clef is used to indicate pitches below middle C. The pitch "f" is indicated by placing a note on the 4th line. Originally the clef designation of "F" came about through the use of the letter "F" at the end of the staff to indicate the position of the pitch "f".
G major is a key, and, because it is major, it follows the pattern W-W-H-W-W-W-H. The G major notes are G-A-B-C-D-E-F#-G. A key signature shows the sharps and flats of a particular key and is placed after a clef on the staff. The G major key signature contains one sharp, which is the note F#.
